Allotment Blogging Hits the Big Time
Was I the only allotment blogger to pick up the Observer yesterday and discover one of those articles that 'list' the top 5 billion best things, and find that it was the 50 most powerful blogs ? So I started going down the list - don't be silly, vanity and pride had nothing to do with my interest - and came across the most boring blogs that you would not really give much time to at all. I was actually trying to see if allotments had any place in the list. And yup, there she was at 34, Melanie Rimmer and her Bean Sprouts blog. It's good to see someone digging away getting some recognition like this. And to think the article suggested that the most powerful blogs influenced world leaders and the press ! Your time has come to change the world for us Melanie !
Congratulations.

Cheers, Gnomey. I'll believe I'm the world's 34th most powerful blogger when George Bush wants tips on getting rid of couch grass and Gordon Brown asks me for a ginger beer plant. Maybe the list was really "OUGHT TO BE the world's most influential bloggers" I wouldn't argue with that.

They weren't all boring blogs, though. icanhascheezburger.com rocks.
